Rome is the capital of Italy and the Lazio region. It is the largest city in the country and one of the most visited in the world. The legendary “Eternal City” is situated on seven hills on both sides of the river Tiber, near the Mediterranean Sea. City-state Vatican is located inside of the Rome and makes it twice important for the whole Catholic world.

It is difficult to say what is the most memorable in this breathtaking city – the arrogant luxury of the Vatican, Forum immortal, insane speed of Italian cars, a huge number of cats in the Colosseum trying to pass through the intersection, or the bill for espresso. The eternal magic of Rome consists in the ability to combine ancient and modern. Empires rose and declined, the old gods were replaced by new ones, but Rome remains Rome.

Rome is the city of living and unforgettable images: the view of the outlines of the city from the highest hill of the city – Janiculum in the sunrise, columns and ruins of temples of the Roman Forum, the dome of St. Peter’s Cathedral in the background of the bright crimson colors of sunset – all these makes time spent in Rome unforgettable.

Picturesque views of the capital of Italy – not the only charm of it. Rome is also the city of sounds, beginning early in the morning with the ringing of church bells calling people to Mass, and merge into a variety of urban symphony throughout the day. The streets are filled with cars, taxis and scooters, whose horns are heard constantly there and here. The shops in the streets raise protective shutters and grilles with an incredible noise contributing to the music of the awakening of the city.

If you already wandered across the ruins of the Colosseum, watched the Pantheon, St. Peter’s Basilica, examined and threw a coin into the Trevi Fountain – you can finally take a break and gladly dive into the charm of the Roman evening in one of the many cafes. After dinner you can safely walk along the fountains or on the Piazza Navona feeling all the charm of the Roman night.
